GICO Awards 2020

Marco Baron has been awarded with the Flavio Bonati prize of the Interdivisional Group of Organometallic Chemistry (GICO) of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), in recognition of his research activity and of the brilliant results obtained in the study of transition metal complexes with multidentate N-heterocyclic carbene ligands and of their applications.

The prize is awarded every two years to a young researcher below 35 years of age, who has developed its activity mainly in national research centres and who has produced contributions of remarkable scientific value in the field of Organometallic Chemistry. The prize is traditionally associated with an invitation to give a plenary lecture during the GICO Congress (CoGICO).
